The Westin Mumbai Garden City Welcomes…

The Westin Mumbai Garden City is pleased to announce a key appointment that has taken place in the month of May 2013.

We would like to welcome on board, Nishant Agarwal who has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. With over 14 years of experience, Nishant’s prior assignment was with The Trident Nariman Point, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Mumbai as Food & Beverage Manager. His previous work experience includes Restaurant Manager at Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre, Mumbai. With travelling as a passion, Nishant has completed his Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM, PUSA, Delhi.

An Executive Assistant Manager is responsible to assist the Area General Manager to oversee the complete hotel operation. The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of the marketing plan, budget and achieving goals of the hotel to ensure on-going optimum guest satisfaction (Guest Experience Index - GEI), sales potential, profitability and will include key responsibilities such as, interact with guests and individuals outside the hotel, including but not limited to current and potential clients, owning company representatives, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community. Coordinate functions and activities with the Area General Manager, Regional, Area and Corporate colleagues as appropriate. Ensure emergency procedures are practiced and enforced to provide security and safety for guests and colleagues. Monitor applicable laws and regulations, including health and safety and ensure compliance. Establish and maintain effective internal communication and meeting structures to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity. Furthermore, assure full responsibilities in the absence of the Area General Manager as appropriate and keep the Area General Manager informed of any unforeseen events.

Mr. Agarwal, a leader who is naturally hands on, with an on-site management style, good relationship building skills and has the ability to prioritize and make effective decisions. He is a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader who will invigorate and motivate the operation with confidence and style.
