Kitchens of Kangan – The Westin Mumbai Garden City's grand unraveling

August 13 2013 saw a pride of fiery flavors from the North West Frontier come together. It was the beginning to the Kitchens of Kangan which is all set to take over taste buds across the nation. The Westin Mumbai Garden City’s genesis of elevated dining by the ‘Kitchens of Kangan’ power up's for feasts much sought after.

Kangan, one of  the signature Indian venue of Westin Hotels and Resorts’, first exclusive venture in to North West Frontier specialty Indian cuisine, is focused at being No. 1 in the culinary world of Indian delicacies and establishing itself by choice as the preferred dining venue. Having successfully established with a strong foothold in the Indian market in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune, it is now unraveling its newest, most enticing avatar, Kitchens of Kangan.

The launch event at our venue began with Celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor delivering an honorary speech to our guests, accompanied by our Executive Chef Ajay Chopra. Area General Manager of The Westin Mumbai Garden City Mr. Anuraag Bhatnagar addressed the guests with absolute panache. This was followed by a short audiovisual bearing a glimpse of Chef Ajay’s show Hi Tea on Food Food. Media representatives later were seen engaging in a round of Question & Answers and one on one interview sessions with our guest chefs; Style Chef’s Chef Shailendra Kekade, Health Mange More’s Chef Shantanu Gupte and Mummy Ka Magic’s Amrita Raichand.

Aromas galore, the event further saw a talent pool of our very own culinary masters, The Westin Mumbai Garden City, Chef de Cuisine, Kangan,  Chef Shamsher Ahmed and Executive Sous Chef, Kangan, The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace Chef Rakesh Kumar conjure up delights to tempt and satiate their desire to get a flavour of epicures at our Chef’s Table at Kangan.





Partaking in activities to follow will be Kangan restaurants from Westin Hotels and Resorts properties across India. With an entourage of highly skilled chefs visiting Kangan across cities showcasing the best of its offerings. A unique menu will be set and signature dishes will be standardized to strengthen the brand’s value and presence in the Indian consumer mind. Each participating hotel will display the culinary brilliance of Kangan at their venues.
