The Westin Mumbai Garden City is pleased to announce a key appointment that has taken place in the month of May 2013.

We would like to welcome on board, Nishant Agarwal who has been appointed as Executive Assistant Manager (EAM) at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. With over 14 years of experience, Nishant’s prior assignment was with The Trident Nariman Point, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, Mumbai as Food & Beverage Manager. His previous work experience includes Restaurant Manager at Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre, Mumbai. With travelling as a passion, Nishant has completed his Diploma in Hotel Management from IHM, PUSA, Delhi.

An Executive Assistant Manager is responsible to assist the Area General Manager to oversee the complete hotel operation. The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of the marketing plan, budget and achieving goals of the hotel to ensure on-going optimum guest satisfaction (Guest Experience Index - GEI), sales potential, profitability and will include key responsibilities such as, interact with guests and individuals outside the hotel, including but not limited to current and potential clients, owning company representatives, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community. Coordinate functions and activities with the Area General Manager, Regional, Area and Corporate colleagues as appropriate. Ensure emergency procedures are practiced and enforced to provide security and safety for guests and colleagues. Monitor applicable laws and regulations, including health and safety and ensure compliance. Establish and maintain effective internal communication and meeting structures to ensure optimum teamwork and productivity. Furthermore, assure full responsibilities in the absence of the Area General Manager as appropriate and keep the Area General Manager informed of any unforeseen events.

Mr. Agarwal, a leader who is naturally hands on, with an on-site management style, good relationship building skills and has the ability to prioritize and make effective decisions. He is a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader who will invigorate and motivate the operation with confidence and style. We would like to welcome on board, Miss Sharoni Sharma who has been appointed as Venue Manager Prego in Food & Beverage Service at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. Sharoni has completed her Bachelor’s Degree from Welcom Group Graduate School of Hotel Administration. With traveling as her passion Sharoni has over 6 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Sharoni’s prior assignments were Restaurant Manager at The Taj Mahal, New Delhi.

Miss Dhanashree Ekbote is another addition to the ever growing Westin family and has joined us as Assistant GRE Manager in the Front Office Department. With over 09 years of experience in the industry Dhanashree’s last assignment was with Jet Airways as Flight Attendant. Her previous assignments include Front Office Executive at Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Mumbai. With swimming as a passion, Dhanashree has completed her Graduation in Psychology from Mumbai University.

He completed his Bachelor of Hotel Management from PES Institute of Hotel Management.

Heavenly Spa and Recreation Manager

Pallavi Gore has been appointed as Heavenly Spa and Recreation Manager for The Westin Mumbai Garden City. Pallavi completed her Diploma in Cosmetology from Carsten Aveda Institute, New York and Diploma in Esthetics from Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics, New York. She has over 5 years of experience and her previous appointment includes Spa Manager at The Leela Kempinski and Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur.
