Prego brings you Grano Armando!

A divine confluence of Italian flavors came together at the launch of Grano Armando hosted at Prego, the Italian specialty dinner at The Westin Mumbai Garden City on 12 July 2013. Our guests savored in an ambience, specially infused with Italian notes for an elevated dining experience while they feasted on special preparations of fresh pastas, homemade bread paired with uplifting red and white wines and other blends.

The evening commenced with an informative audio visual of Grano Armando’s origin at Prego’s Al Fresco dining area, mood-lit and set in cheerful yellows and mustards with rustic hues and natural wood. Prego is a diner’s delight with pulsating Italian and Mediterranean pop music, a feature bar and a wine display wall, a Molteni kitchen and a contemporary yet authentic Italian spread to die for. The restaurant has an extensive wine list of Italian and New World wines, international boutique beers and specialty cocktails.

The event was attended by Karen Anand and Giselle Thakral who assisted Executive Chef Ajay Chopra, Chef Federico Volpi from The Westin Pune Koregaon Park and Maria Vople from the Grano Armando team at the live station. The guests indulged in delicious canapés keeping in mind their ‘health-o-meter’.

Day two of the event brought together celebrity chefs from Mumbai City such as Vicky Ratnani and many more under one roof at the Chef’s Table at Prego to experience a lavish menu of Grano Armano delights hosted by Executive Chef, Ajay Chopra. While our guest chefs tucked in to tantalizing preparations and Italian reds and whites, our very own Prego chefs were found adding the final finishing touches to the dessert which could have easily led even the most discerning gourmets to believe it were a piece of art. The end of this affair saw our guest chefs leave soulfully satiated and eager to return for yet another remarkable Westin experience.
