In the age of home gourmets, culinary adventures and a return to natural foods, finally a lifestyle market which is a source of exceptional Indian produce. The city’s foodies congregate to explore curated culinary experiences including cookery demonstrations by Master Chefs Kunal Kapoor and Ajay Chopra, meet a fresh and novel array of exhibitors from across the country and diverse spaces such as horticulture, kitchenware, artisanal cheese, home chefs, masalas, boutique food manufacturers, vegetable and fruit farmers and start up vendors who will come together to offer a super gourmet shopping experience.



Participate in fun activities with your friends and families like the Weber Men’s cook-off at the Weber Barbecue picnic area and live music by Chris Fonceca and Mike Pereira of Strange Brew as you all enjoy the day together at The Westin Mumbai Garden City.

The 2nd Mumbai Farmers’ Market is back with a bang at the Westin Mumbai Garden City this Sunday!

After ten successful Farmers’ Market in Mumbai, Pune and Gurgaon that saw a variety of restaurants, world-class natural products and dozens of avid home bakers and amateur chefs, wineries and 30,000+ visitors to date, Karen Anand and her team will bring once again the unique experience to Mumbai on Sunday, February 9th in the stunning 'Woods' of The Westin Mumbai Garden City.

The Mumbai Farmers’ Market (MFM) will bring together exhibitors selling an array of products such as organic fresh produce, cheese, meats, sauce, preserves along with wineries, bars, bakers and restaurants.

Watch chefs, Nikhil Chib of Busaba, Ajay Chopra ex Masterchef India judge & our very own Executive Chef, and Mayank Tiwari of Olive Bistro, India cook with a "mystery box" and market produce. Let your kids be looked after in our kid's cookery workshop area. In addition you can also try food by Between Breads, Busaba, Asia 7 and others. Aoi will be conducting a special sushi workshop. The Pint Room will be serving a selection of International and Indian beers.

The Mumbai Farmers’ Market (MFM) expects to see the city’s food & drink enthusiasts congregate at this innovative platform to explore curated culinary experiences and demonstrations, meet a fresh and novel array of exhibitors who will showcase their artisanal produce and grab the opportunity to enjoy the city’s favourite restaurants in an ‘out-of-restaurant’ experience. Prego brings you Grano Armando!

A divine confluence of Italian flavors came together at the launch of Grano Armando hosted at Prego, the Italian specialty dinner at The Westin Mumbai Garden City on 12 July 2013. Our guests savored in an ambience, specially infused with Italian notes for an elevated dining experience while they feasted on special preparations of fresh pastas, homemade bread paired with uplifting red and white wines and other blends.

The evening commenced with an informative audio visual of Grano Armando’s origin at Prego’s Al Fresco dining area, mood-lit and set in cheerful yellows and mustards with rustic hues and natural wood. Prego is a diner’s delight with pulsating Italian and Mediterranean pop music, a feature bar and a wine display wall, a Molteni kitchen and a contemporary yet authentic Italian spread to die for. The restaurant has an extensive wine list of Italian and New World wines, international boutique beers and specialty cocktails.

The event was attended by Karen Anand and Giselle Thakral who assisted Executive Chef Ajay Chopra, Chef Federico Volpi from The Westin Pune Koregaon Park and Maria Vople from the Grano Armando team at the live station. The guests indulged in delicious canapés keeping in mind their ‘health-o-meter’.

Day two of the event brought together celebrity chefs from Mumbai City such as Vicky Ratnani and many more under one roof at the Chef’s Table at Prego to experience a lavish menu of Grano Armano delights hosted by Executive Chef, Ajay Chopra. While our guest chefs tucked in to tantalizing preparations and Italian reds and whites, our very own Prego chefs were found adding the final finishing touches to the dessert which could have easily led even the most discerning gourmets to believe it were a piece of art. The end of this affair saw our guest chefs leave soulfully satiated and eager to return for yet another remarkable Westin experience.

Tickle your appetite at Taste of Mumbai with Prego!

The internationally acclaimed series of food and drink festivals, Taste Festivals, comes to India with the launch of Taste of Mumbai. The city-based food and drink festival promises to be an eclectic selection of food, drinks and restaurants to delight food lovers at Marine Drive from 22nd to 24th March 2013.



Taste of Mumbai will not only present world famous Chefs and top restaurants but also have innovative and interactive cooking and eating sessions. The festival will feature some of the renowned international culinary experts such as Alain Fabrègues, famous for producing the finest of French Cuisine with a strong Australian influence; Margot Janse, incredibly talented Executive Chef from South Africa; Ian Kittichai, culinary specialist who has some of the most recognizable international hotels, restaurants and food companies, Jehangir Mehta, Vivek Singh and many acclaimed Indian Chefs such as Ritu Dalmia, Vicky Ratnani, our very own Executive Chef, Ajay Chopra amongst many others.


Taste Festival is a high-quality food and drink consumer event where the host city's most prestigious restaurants and celebrated chefs serve sample-sized signature dishes to visitors in an outdoor city centre venue. There will be 12 top Indian and International restaurants including exciting live demos by world-class International and Indian chefs. Over 50 food and drink producers of gourmet food products, fine wines, beer and lifestyle products. All arranged in this big food fest!



The festival will have an exclusive American Express VIP Lounge to let people take a break from tasting and shopping to relax in a private lounge with a complimentary dram of Glenfiddich over a discussion with top chefs. Other features include the Taste Theatre where culinary greats take to the stage and share their secrets, show off their skills and polish yours with a plethora of pan rattling demonstrations.

Presenting a lineup of some of the most acclaimed and most exciting restaurants in India, one of which is Prego at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. At Prego we shall be serving our signature dishes in tasting size servings so you can sample them and relish the dishes accordingly. The artistic flavors of Italy come to life inside this culinary art house. Guests can enjoy a lively show kitchen while feasting on fresh pastas, homemade bread and delicious hand-tossed pizzas.  Lamb shank with Saffron Risotto, Spaghetti aglio olio with Prawns or Clams, Calamari Fritti are the various delicacies that will be prepared by Executive Chef Ajay Chopra. For dessert you can treat yourself with our Prego speciality; the Classic Tiramisu - a popular dessert layered with sweet cream and topped off with cocoa powder.

The festival will have two sessions every day, a day session (12pm-4pm) and an evening session (6pm-10pm). So get set to experience lip smacking cuisines and a foodie haven all under one roof, its time for The Taste of Mumbai food Festival!
