Christmas is the time of the year when families and comrades come together to celebrate life. The spectacular Christmas buzz is already felt in The Westin Mumbai Garden City with beautifully decorated majestic Christmas Tree bedecked in lobby.

Christmas revelries commenced with lighting up the exquisite Christmas tree by EAM, Nishant Agarwal; the occasion also unveiled the exclusive Santa’s Christmas Village- concept ideated by the Bakery team showcasing a quaint winter-wonderland fashioned out of confectionery items and gingerbread.

The lobby is filled with delectable hand crafted Christmas chocolates and goodies as the lobby felt the festive spirit with the melodious sounds of the Carol Singing band. No Christmas is complete without Santa Claus as he brought huge gleeful smiles on the little kiddies and adults faces with his cheerful antics and aura.

Bringing in the Festive Season with Style & Fun at The Westin Mumbai Garden City!

Sweet November was a perfect celebration to welcome the most joyous time of the year. On 1st November The Westin Mumbai Garden City in association with premier Wines Grover Zampa hosted an elated afternoon exclusively for our guests. This merry afternoon was filled with fun and fervour as guests enjoyed a carnival of Cake Mixing, Grape Stomping & Wine Tasting in the lush Westin Woods.

Executive Chef Rahul Dhavale commenced the Cake Mixing Ceremony by unveiling the cake mixing tray filled with dry fruits, raisins, black currants, candied peel, candied cherries, tutti frutti etc and of course the all important spirits wine, rum, beer and whiskey etc to soak the fruits with. Everyone joined the Chef’s in this fun custom of mixing the fruits with the aromatic spirits. This irresistible cake mix will be soaked in the spirits until Christmas, which will be then later made into traditional Christmas cakes and will be ready for sale.

Westin Woods was turned into mini Italy as all the guests came together in full gusto to participate in the traditional method of wine making Grape Stomping. Celebrity Chef Ajay Chopra caught everyone’s attention with an interactive Cooking Session as he cooked up a storm for all. Further on the guests were enthralled by the delectable wines during the Wine Tasting Session.The melodious tunes by live band Vernon complimented the pleasant Saturday afternoon as the delicious delicacies & wine was devoured by all as they strolled from one food cabana to another and enjoyed each other’s company.

On 10th November, The Westin Mumbai Garden City spread the warmth of the festive season with the harbinger of good tidings and happiness. The traditional cake mixing ceremony herald a truly indulgent Christmas.

Our EAM Mr. Nishant Agarwal welcomed all the guests to an afternoon filled with loads of fun amidst great cheer and fervor. Executive Chef Ajay Chopra began the ceremony by unveiling the cake mixing tray filled with dry fruits, raisins, black currants, candied peel, candied cherries, tutti frutti etc and of course the all important spirits wine, rum, beer and whiskey etc to soak the fruits with. This will be soaked in the spirits until Christmas, which will be then later made into traditional Christmas cakes and will be ready for sale. Model and Actress Sandhya Shetty joined the chefs and guests in mixing the fruits with the various liqueurs.

Santa Serenades You on 25th December, 2012, from 12 pm- 4pm. Christmas lunch at Seasonal Tastes and Prego. Exquisite cuisines designed and created to meet your festive spirits. With turkey galore, minced pies, egg nogs and an endless list of the best wines!

And no, it doesn’t end here. Santa never sends his loved ones back without souvenirs. We at The Westin Mumbai have created special hampers to take home memories of a Christmas Day well spent!

Santa Checks In

Christmas time is finally here and Christmas comes with special treats. It’s a season of happiness, togetherness and delicious meals. The Westin Mumbai Garden City is hosting a Christmas themed buffet brunch ‘Santa Checks in’ with a fabulous traditional menu with special munchies for kids. Decorations will adorn the hotel and the aromatic scent of mulled wine will permeate through the lobby creating a festive and warm atmosphere.  A live band will be performing from 12:30 – 3:30 pm filling the Ballroom with melodious Christmas tunes.

Children are going to love to see each other, spend the afternoon playing games, sharing their new gifts and toys that Santa clause will carry for each of them. A Christmas buffet brunch designed especially for children will be spread out. Children between the ages of 3-12 years can pour in for the special treats for free.

For the kids we have planned something special with thicky-thick shakes - very vanilla, mouth watering wild berries, yummy crunchy chocolate and choco-chip shake, Soda Lemonade and assorted soft beverages and fruit juices. There is a also a delicious menu for the little champs like chicken nuggets with sun-dried tomato mayonnaise, grilled chicken sausages with cheesy potato mash, barbequed chicken burgers with french fries and marshmallows with dipping fondue. As a unique feature to the entire celebration, we are also delighted to present a live ice-cream bar and candy from around the world.
